Okay, so there was a big issue about how not all of the first years were turning up to these meetings. It's so important everyone turns up, or at least elect a representative from each team to come to each meeting.
The meetings from now are every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Monday: 11:30
Wednesday: 11:30
Friday: 2:30
Model Team:
The male models have to be at least 5'11 if not 6, and the female 5'7
The flyers need to be made by our next meeting this Friday. It needs to look proffessional and slick, we don't want the show to look cheap. If you go into shops and ask them if it's okay for them to keep some of them for people to see.
In the past people have done illustrations on the posters, try and get someone from Graphics to help out if you can (Maybe the boys who are choosing to do the show catalogue for their FMP?)
Try and get the model file of Emily too, and phone up past models to see if they're willing to model again.
The models need to be asked what they're willing to wear/expose, and what they aren't. They need to be available on the 17th June! And also be free around that week to come in for fittings etc. So please find someone reliable.
We seem to have too many stylists, and too many people for hair and make up, and not enough people for the Models and the Sponsership and Press. So if you're willing to change groups please let us know!!
I remember someone saying that the stylists and models can get together as one group, and work together to get the models and then style them.
Demetrius came up with a really good idea for the hair and make up. Going with a theme of Saints and Sinners. One with very pale simple light make up, and the other quite dark. He's going to bring in some images on Friday to the meeting.
Showcase Catalogue
People involved in this team need to get the collections down! And add a synopsis of the FMP. You guys need to push the second years and the foundation years to get their garments finished for photographing!
Could all Second years and Foundation email Kim with your synopsis.
She needs your full name...
Progression.. (Uni/College course)
Name of Collection + 100 word synopsis
her email address is kimberleystansfield@yahoo.com
In conclusion to our theme.. we've pretty much decided that there shouldn't really be a theme because in the past it's always been chucked last minute.
Stylists need to choose which garments get put through to the show.
Raffles? Go round offices to sell them and take their contact detail so you can phone them up if they've won. People need to bring in possible prizes for it... so if you have anything you don't need that could be used as a prize... please bring it in:)
Kims doing the fiver fund! By next week everyone should bring a fiver to hand in...
And...I think that's it :)

ReplyDeleteI like this idea of saints and sinners very much. it's simple, easy to do it and has loads of possibilities.
ReplyDeleteare the first years choosing what garments go into the press show? or just which ones out of the main collections go on?
Hi Everyone..
ReplyDeleteThe staff team will decide what goes in the press show
And the first year styling team will work with me to work out which garments are in the show and the show order.
Someone needs to make a list of collections and start ticking off when garments are completed. I would like to see rails go up in the studio and collections catalogued by the end of this week.
ALL students need to complete garments to a high standard for the show. - Stylists you should be cataloging the garments and making sure everyone has submitted and they are ready to go on the model... check with me if you are unsure what to do!
If you want to get money in for the raffle this will need to be sorted by the end of this week.. someone needs to take ownership of this and manage it, from collecting the prizes to selling to drawing the raffle and distributing the prizes. Who is going to do it??
Guys you really need to set deadlines and get things moving -
2nd years/Foundation - Graphics will give you a deadline for when they need garments for photos and magazine girls will give you a deadline for your synopsis. Stick to it please!
By the end of this week we need to finalise a venue - Maria I know you have been working on this so if you see me tomorrow we can make some phone calls together.
I am not convinced that everyone knows what they are supposed to be doing to you must make sure that you elect a team leader for each team and get them to manage their own area.
There are lots of great ideas lets start to see them come alive!
Well Done everyone who is putting in hard work!
Fashion:Lab
thats true!
ReplyDeleteim not too sure what to do as a stylist as my initial thoughts were it was going to be having a look at accesories and stuff!!
but i think we need to figure out what garments are going where and just take a proper look at the garments.
Becky, as you seem to be up to speed on the blog can you become team leader for stylists and meet with me tomorrow - get the rest of your team together too - to discuss what you need to do over the coming weeks. Thanks :)
